Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Safe Trade, Inc. (“Safe Trade,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information when you use our websites, Safe Trade Desktop, account services, support channels and other services that link to this policy (collectively, the “Services”). “Personal Data” means information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you.

Information you provide

Depending on the Services you use, we may process your email address, username, account preferences, authentication settings and communications with support. If a feature or applicable requirement calls for additional verification, the relevant account flow will explain what is requested before you provide it. Never send a recovery phrase, private key, password or two-factor authentication code to support.

Account, wallet and transaction information

We may process information needed to display and operate account activity, supported markets, deposits, withdrawals and orders, such as asset, amount, network, public wallet address, transaction identifier, order type, market, price, time and status. Public blockchain activity may remain permanently visible through the relevant network, node, explorer or data provider.

Information collected automatically

When you use the Services, the site host, application infrastructure or security providers may receive technical information such as IP address, operating system, app version, device and browser type, language, approximate region, timestamps, requested pages, crash reports and security events. This information is used to deliver, protect, troubleshoot and improve the Services.

Cookies and local browser storage

The current website uses essential localStorage for two purposes: safeTradeConsent remembers that the consent notice was accepted, and safeTradeOnboardingEmails can remember up to five email addresses entered in the account-start panel on that browser. Those onboarding addresses remain on the device and are not transmitted by the website form. The on-page support conversation is processed only for the current browser session unless you continue through an external support channel. You can clear these values through your browser settings at any time. The current website does not use advertising cookies.

Wallet credentials and sensitive information

The website does not ask for, receive or store recovery phrases or private keys. Wallet credentials are handled inside Safe Trade Desktop and are designed to remain encrypted until unlocked in an authenticated application session. Email access alone does not reveal or decrypt wallet credentials.

How we use information

  • Provide and maintain account, trading and asset-management features.
  • Authenticate users, support two-factor authentication and protect account access.
  • Process instructions and display balances, orders, deposits, withdrawals and history.
  • Detect abuse, fraud, security incidents and prohibited activity.
  • Respond to support requests and service communications.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
  • Analyze and improve reliability, usability and performance.

How information may be shared

We may share information with infrastructure, hosting, security, market-data, customer-support and compliance providers that help operate the Services; with blockchain networks and services needed to carry out an instruction; with professional advisers during a business transaction; with authorities when legally required; or with another party at your direction. Providers may use information only for the services they perform for us, subject to their agreements and applicable law.

Third-party services

The Services may link to or interoperate with networks, market-data providers, websites and services that we do not control. Their privacy practices apply to information you provide directly to them. Review their terms before using an external service.

Retention and security

We retain Personal Data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, account and service delivery, security, dispute resolution and legal obligations. Retention periods may vary by data category and applicable requirement. We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no electronic transmission, application or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain processing of your Personal Data, or to receive a portable copy. Requests may require identity verification. You may manage browser storage through your browser and unsubscribe from optional marketing messages using the instructions provided with those messages.

International use and age requirement

Information may be processed in countries with privacy laws different from those where you live. The Services are not directed to anyone under 18. If we learn that information was collected from a child in violation of applicable law, we will take appropriate steps.

Policy changes and contact

We may update this policy as the Services, providers or applicable requirements change. Material changes will be reflected by a revised effective date and, when appropriate, an additional notice. Privacy questions and rights requests can be submitted through the Safe Trade Support Center. We may need enough information to verify your identity and locate the relevant records.

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Safe Trade website, Safe Trade Desktop, account features, wallet interface, integrated exchange and related Services. By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and any additional notice presented for a specific feature. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18, have legal capacity to agree to these Terms and be permitted to use the Services under applicable law. You are responsible for accurate account information, your credentials, devices and two-factor authentication. Notify support promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Self-custody wallet and recovery credentials

Safe Trade Desktop is designed to provide a self-custody wallet interface. You are responsible for protecting your device, application access, recovery phrase, private keys, passwords, passkeys and authentication factors. The website does not hold funds or process wallet keys. Losing required recovery credentials or access factors may result in permanent loss of access to assets.

Account access, wallet authority and orders

Account authentication provides access to the application and its exchange features. Wallet credentials unlock separately inside the desktop application. Exchange orders may be authorized through an authenticated account session, while sending assets, interacting with DeFi or approving an on-chain transaction requires the applicable wallet authorization. You are responsible for reviewing every instruction before confirmation.

Trading and asset instructions

Before submitting an instruction, review the market, asset, network, destination, order type, side, price, amount, expected fee and available liquidity. Blockchain transfers may be irreversible. An incorrect network, asset or destination can result in permanent loss. An exchange order may be partially filled, unfilled, delayed, rejected or cancelled according to market conditions, liquidity, maintenance and applicable rules.

Market risk

Digital assets are volatile and may lose value. Long-tail and lower-liquidity markets may experience larger spreads, limited depth, rapid price movement and difficulty entering or exiting a position. Safe Trade does not provide investment, legal, tax or financial advice and does not guarantee returns, liquidity, execution price or availability.

Deposits, withdrawals and on-chain actions

Availability, confirmations, fees, minimums and supported networks vary by asset. Maintenance, network congestion, security review, protocol conditions or legal obligations may delay an operation. You are responsible for confirming that the destination supports the selected asset and network and for keeping enough native network assets to pay applicable transaction fees.

Fees and taxes

Trading, withdrawal, network or third-party fees may apply and may change. Applicable fees are presented in the relevant product flow or published schedule when available. You are responsible for determining and meeting any tax, reporting or record-keeping obligations arising from your use of the Services.

Acceptable use

You may not use the Services to violate law, evade restrictions, manipulate markets, interfere with systems, misrepresent identity, distribute malware, access another user’s account, automate abusive traffic or exploit a vulnerability. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the Services or comply with law.

Software license and updates

Subject to these Terms, Safe Trade grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to install and use the desktop application. Use official release links only. Updates may be required for security, compatibility or continued access.

Market data and third-party services

Charts, prices, volume, order-book information and reference data may come from Safe Trade markets or independent providers. Data can be delayed, incomplete or different from an executable price. Blockchain networks, market-data platforms and linked services are operated under their own terms and may experience outages, forks, changes or inaccuracies. Confirm current order details inside Safe Trade Desktop before acting.

Service availability

The Services are provided on an “as available” basis. Maintenance, security events, market conditions, network failures or events outside reasonable control may affect access. To the extent permitted by law, Safe Trade disclaims implied warranties and does not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Safe Trade and its service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages; lost profits or data; or losses caused by user error, compromised credentials, market movement, insufficient liquidity, unsupported assets or networks, blockchain conditions or third-party systems. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold Safe Trade and its service providers harmless from claims, damages and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Services, your violation of these Terms or your infringement of another party’s rights.

Suspension, termination and changes

You may stop using the Services at any time, subject to unresolved orders, transactions or obligations. We may restrict, suspend or terminate access when required by law, reasonably necessary for security, or following a material breach. We may update these Terms by publishing a revised version and effective date. Continued use after the revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

General terms

If a provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms as part of a reorganization, financing or transfer of the Services, subject to applicable law.

Questions

Questions about the Services or these Terms can be submitted through the Safe Trade Support Center.
